Valery SemenovAn independent graphical designer was born in 2 April 1959 in
Ekaterinburg. By 1977–81 studied at Sverdlovsky Architectural Institute (the industrial
design faculty).
At 1988 graduated the Ural State University as a historian of Fine Arts. From 1985 till
94 worked at the Ural Trade and Industry Chamber, where has been one of the leading
designers.
Speciality: trade marks projection (verbal aspect as well), corporate identity (more
than 100 logos were presented for state registred); poligraphical design, book design: 8
book projects ready for print were prepared, 2 of them 're realised by now, one is now
being at printing process now (Italy). Produced a symbols and visual desing of 7
international exibitions.
Since 1994 has been working at the Koltsovo Airport (Ekaterinburg)'s corporate
identity. Initiated and realized "The Urals Among National Treasures of Russia"
extra-class almanacs (the Koltsovo Airport and Historical Gemology Society
"Lithica" publication): "Malachite" 1996, "Jasper" 1997,
"Emerald" 1998, "Cameos of Old Ekaterinburg" 1999. The first prize was
rewarded to the Koltsovo Airport at the European airports competition (Bologna, 1996) at
"promotion material" nomination.
At August 1998 the album "The Historical and Architectural Heritage of
Verkhoturye" (The Ural Academy of Architecture and Arts) was first premium prized at
the "Zodchestvo" festival (Moscow).
An important experience of communication with foreing typographies had been worked out
when the accomplishing of the author's supervision.
Doesn't belong to any creative society as being convinced of the professional status of
his own, that had constantly been confirmed at the exact work with an exact client.
