THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT

‘Story left on the bottom of an inkwell…’ — what a remarkable Andessen’s guesswork! What a lot of various stories has been kept in museums on the bottoms of uncountable inkwells made up of delftware, bronze, glass, of onyx or rock crystal…

There is a fascinating blue glass inkwell in ‘The House That Jack Built’ however it could be absent here as well. It doesn’t matter. Probably an imaginary story could be taken out of the imaginary inkwell, couldn’t it?

Even if this is mystification (and this really is), let’s remember that Greek mystikos means mystery, strangeness, secret. We have to tell however that we aren’t the ones who invented it. The mystery existed and exists up to now.

We merely caught its quiet call and confided in it. We merely touched it lightly lifting its charming veil.
